Application for Master's degree

For holders of foreign diploma(s)

1st year Master

To apply for registration in the 1st year of the Master's program, candidates must follow one of the following two procedures:
 
  • For applicants who are nationals and residents of one of the following countries: Algeria, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Benin, Burma, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Central African Republic, Chad, Chile, China, Colombia, Comoros, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Georgia, Ghana, Guinea, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Laos, Lebanon, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Peru, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam.

You must contact the Study Centers for France (Centres d'Études pour la France – CEF) by logging on to the website of the CEF in your country of residence (e.g. www.algerie.campusfrance.org) and following the instructions given there. This procedure is compulsory to obtain a residence permit.

Please note that the deadline for registering with Campus France is set by each embassy. Consult the Campus France website in your country of residence for the application timetable.
 
If your application is pre-selected, it will be examined by the admissions committee, which may, if necessary, ask you to supplement your file with other information (educational documents, entrance exam, video interview, etc.). You will be notified on Campus France before the end of June 2025. If your application is accepted, you will receive an e-mail containing a code that will enable you to register online, and then follow the various stages of registration.

 
  • For all other applicants:
You must submit your application on the Mon Master platform (in French), according to the following timetable:

Submission of applications

April / May 2025

Examination of applications by the institutions

June 2025

Admission phase (transmission of admission proposals to applicants and applicants' responses to these proposals)

From June 2025

After acceptance of an admission offer, administrative registration with the institutions, according to the timetable set by each institution


You may be asked to provide the following supporting documents:

► A cover letter and curriculum vitae (CV) written in French

► A certificate of French language level, if you are not from a French-speaking country (minimum French level required: TCF B2, DELF B2, or DUEF B2. TCF C1 or DALF is recommended for all Master's applications)

► Copy of all university diplomas and high school diploma*

► Copies of transcripts of these diplomas*

► An official syllabus of courses taken at university specifying the number of hours*

► Copy of your identity card or passport

(*these documents must be translated into French by a sworn translator)

Applications will be examined by the admissions committee, which may ask you to supplement your application with other information (teaching documents, entrance exam, video interview, etc.). You will be notified as soon as possible, directly on the Mon Master platform (in French). If your application is accepted, you will be able to register online.

2e année de Master

To apply to enter the 2nd year of the Master's program, candidates must follow one of the following two procedures:

If your application is preselected, you will receive a message on Campus France explaining how to proceed to the second admission phase.

You must submit your application via eCandidat: for each diploma, the submission dates are indicated directly in the application. Important: your eCandidat account must not be created before January 2025.

Attention Please note that for some Masters, the procedure is different:

 
For applicants who are not nationals of a member state of the European Economic Area, a refusal of admission to a Master's, 2nd or 3rd year Bachelor's degree does not automatically give access to registration for a 1st year Bachelor's degree. This will only be possible if the application for admission to the 1st year of the Licence program has been submitted and accepted (in French).
